Racic: "I think that we can be a lot better prepared for this season than the last"
Uros Racic is one of the players being put through their paces in preseason by Valencia CF coach José Bordalás, as the squad undertake an extensive preseason training camp in Oliva. The midfielder has been through some intense sessions over the past week, but has still found time to indulge in one of his hobbies.
Mixing work with rest
"We're working very hard every day. It's good to rest up for an afternoon, and I've been playing this game during my time off. It's called Counter Strike. I'm playing it with my friends and chatting to them at the same time. It's good for relaxing."
Training under Bordalás
"Whenever a new coach comes in, he has his objectives. We're starting a new season, but I think these first few days have been very good. We have to work very hard, and I think that we're going to do a lot better than last season."
Feeling fit
"I feel good. I'm a little tired, which is normal in preseason, and we're taking things gradually in order to be ready for the start of the season.
"I like to train whenever I can. I have a gym at home. This video game is what I do for 'play,' but when I have time off it is used for resting or sleeping. I play this for 1 or 2 hours a day -no more than that."

Using gaming for rest
"I'm doing well. I haven't played the game for a year yet but I have a few friends who play professionally. It's their livelihood, like football is for me. They've told me that for somebody who hasn't played for a year, I play very well."
The preseason so far
"Everything seems perfect to me at the moment. We've been doing a lot of fitness work, and I think that we can be a lot better prepared for this season than the last. We all hope that this is the case, because we are Valencia CF and we have to do much more."

Praise from Bordalás
"He told me that I'm faster than Thierry Correia. I don't think that's true. Maybe at times I am, because I get a quicker start than him, but he's very fast. I'm going to try to match him."
